Pokemon Tarucard (ポケモンタルカ) is a Japanese karuta-style card game published by The Pokemon Company, based on the world of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. The third entry in the Pokemon Hyakunin Isshu Series, it flips the classic karuta format on its head — the words printed on the reading cards are all written in reverse! Players must flip the words in their heads to find and match the corresponding picture card. Reading card clues cover four categories: Pokemon names, Pokemon traits, Pokemon classifications, and Pokemon moves — all written backwards. The set includes 72 cards total: 32 picture cards, 32 reading cards, and 8 ranking cards. Effect cards are also included to shake up the game and allow dramatic come-from-behind victories. The box features Pikachu front and center surrounded by a colorful cast of Pokemon. Recommended for ages 7 and up. Made in Japan.
