Part of Bandai's Shokugan Modeling Project, this is the Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V (ボルテスV ファイア) set. The back of the box describes Voltes V as the mightiest super robot, developed by Dr. Gou to defend Earth against the Boazan alien invaders. Five team members pilot five individual Volt Machines, which combine — "Let's Volt In!" — into the towering Voltes V, standing 58 meters tall and weighing 600 tons, powered by super electromagnetic energy. Featured prominently is the robot's signature finishing move, the Tenkuuken (天空剣) V-slash — the Heaven Sword is stored in Voltes V's chest and can cut through molecular-bonded materials. The set also includes the exclusive Voltes Heavy Tank (ボルテス重戦車) alternate configuration gimmick unique to this toy release.
