That night, "His Airness" swooped into Madison Square Garden and swished his way to a 55-point barrage against the New York Knicks — the most points ever scored at MSG. He hit on 21 field goals from the floor, went 3-of-4 from three-point range, and 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. The man scored 35 of his team's final points before passing off to a wide-open Bill Wennington for the clinching bucket.
